Online chair yoga

This online chair yoga class is suitable for all ages and abilities, those living with a health condition, movement disorder, carers and family.

The aim is to reduce stiffness and improve mobility for everyday life. The breathwork and relaxation practices are designed to help you manage stress, feel calmer and sleep better. As well as seated postures, there are some movements from standing but these are optional and can be modified.

If you are living with a movement disorder such as Parkinson’s Disease, have arthritis, rheumatism, high blood pressure, heart problems or any other condition where gentle movement is advised, this class is suitable for you too. Or maybe you are just more comfortable moving from a chair. Everyone is welcome!

The benefits of yoga have been well documented from improved posture, mobility and balance to reduced anxiety and a lifted mood.

Join a class
Classes are on Mondays from 11:00 to 11:40 on Google Meet.
After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation calendar invite containing the class information and link. You do not need a Google account.
If you are new to the class you will also receive a short health readiness questionnaire to fill out online. This is for your safety and protection.

Price
£5 per class.
If you have been referred by a healthcare professional or the Joy Directory and you're in receipt of Universal Credit or other benefits, please contact me for a checkout code.
