Hello and welcome.

I’m Yanar and I created Yanar Mind & Movement so that people can find more ways to move well and feel better. Whether you’re managing a busy and stressful life or a chronic, physical or mental condition, there will always be movement that feels right for your body and practices to support your nervous system and mind.

I work with Parkinson’s UK charity running chair yoga classes in-person in east London and offering online classes to make movement more accessible geographically. All online classes are offered on a sliding scale (starting at £6) to help break down financial barriers.

I’m a 580-hour accredited yoga therapist from The Minded Institute, a 200-hour certified yoga teacher accredited by Yoga Alliance, and a level 3 personal trainer accredited by Focus Awards.

Join me if you’re looking for:

  • Yoga therapy – for movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, chronic health conditions or if you’d like a more holistic way to help you manage stress, anxiety or insomnia

  • Chair-based and adaptive yoga – to make yoga accessible if you’re experiencing physical limitations

  • Relaxation yoga – to balance the nervous system, calm the mind and relax the body. The perfect antidote to busy lives

  • Yoga nidra – meaning ‘yoga of sleep’ in Sanskrit, this is a deeply restorative guided practice to release physical and mental tension for deeper relaxation

  • Personalised fitness – for building functional strength and body confidence

The combination of yoga therapy, relaxation yoga, chair yoga and functional fitness I offer is born from 15 years in classical yoga and a lifetime of fitness training. I’ve experienced firsthand the therapeutic benefits of yoga on the body and mind and how it’s more than just a good stretch.

It brings me much joy to offer these therapeutic sessions and classes. They will support you to find more ease, balance and physical and mental strength in your day-to-day life.

What people say about

Yanar Mind & Movement.

  • "Yanar is a skilled and supportive coach with a comprehensive and balanced approach to training. She was genuinely invested in my growth and progression and was a cheerleader and confidence-builder. Yanar provided me with solid foundations of good form and most importantly a real love for lifting that is still going strong!"

    — Kat, Fitness Programming and Remote Coaching

  • "I really enjoyed the yoga nidra and again, slept so well! I feel calmer and more grounded since joining the class. I've been operating on quite a bit of stress lately but this is really helping, thank you."

    — Rachael, Online Relaxation Yoga class

  • "Yanar's classes are very calming, and I love her focus on each attendee feeling better and calmer in themselves rather than pushing people to hit certain moves before they're ready or making comments about getting a particular body shape. She truly cares about the wellbeing of the people in her classes."

    — Izzy, Online Relaxation Yoga class
